Torin Hession

Head Coach

Torin Hession, born and raised in Oakville, Ontario, rose through the Oakville Rangers organization and quickly became known for his relentless work ethic, leadership, and competitive drive. After a standout Minor Hockey career, Torin went on to the OJHL, where he captained the Mississauga Chargers and later won a Golden Horseshoe Championship with the Hamilton Kilty B’s in the GOJHL.

With NCAA programs and professional offers from Sweden on the table, Torin chose a different path. Instead of chasing his own playing career, he built a hockey development school to pour his passion and experience into the next generation. Today, Torin brings high-level skill development, elite mindset training, and real competitive insight to every session, helping players push past their limits and reach their full potential on and off the ice.

Jordan Rookyard

Coach

Coach Jordan Rookyard, an Oakville native, brings a decade of coaching experience to the team, fueled by a lifelong passion for hockey. He played his entire minor hockey career with the Oakville Rangers Hockey Club (ORHC), and upon the end of his playing days, he immediately committed to giving back to the community and having a positive impact on young athletes. He focuses on fostering a growth mindset and developing a positive and inclusive team culture. His coaching covers hard work, team systems, structured play, fitness, and skill development. Ultimately, Coach Rookyard strives to help players overcome challenges and build resilience, ensuring they develop not only into exceptional hockey players but also into confident individuals and better people. Jordan is currently the head coach for Oakville Rangers U11 AA.

Lucas Muhn

Coach

The HHD team is thrilled to welcome Coach Lucas, a passionate addition dedicated to developing players with integrity and pushing them to reach their absolute potential. Lucas brings an impressive hockey pedigree to the program, having progressed through top-tier youth organizations like Burlington, Blyth, and Halton, followed by Junior stints with the Brantford Titans (GOHL) and Burlington Eagles (OJHL). His technical expertise is backed by a strong academic foundation in Kinesiology from McMaster University and recent on-ice excellence, highlighted by his selection to the 2024-25 GOJHL West All-Star team. We are excited to have his leadership on the ice! let’s get after it!

Alex Dameski

Coach

Alex Dameski played youth hockey for the Oakville Rangers and advanced through multiple junior leagues, including the NCDC (with the Jersey Hitmen), the OJHL (Brantford 99ers, Brampton Admirals), the GOJHL (Welland Canadians), and the USPHL (Elmira Jr Enforcers). Currently Alex is the Captain for the Geneseo Ice Knights! Alex has had a strong record of success, including a UCHC Championship, NCDC Championship, along with a NCAA Frozen Four Appearance. His individual honours include participation in the NCDC All-Star Game, the GOJHL All-Star game, and being named to the SUNYAC 2nd Team all Conference.

Justin Legault

Coach

Coach Justin (Leggy) joined the HHD team as they continue to build an all-star coaching staff. He recently finished his freshman year at Cortland University NCAA, where he had a standout season, landing a spot on the 2024-25 SUNYAC all rookie team. Before college, Justin played youth hockey for the Oakville Rangers and competed in the OJHL for the Toronto Patriots, Burlington Cougars, and the Collingwood Blues, with whom he won the 2022-23 OJHL Championship. His junior career also saw him participate in the 2023-24 OJHL All-Star Game.

Ryan Schaap

Coach

HHD has welcomed Coach Ryan, noting he will add even more talent to the team. Ryan played youth hockey for the Hamilton Husky’s AAA and competed in the OJHL for the Mississauga Chargers and the Wellington Dukes. His junior career was capped by being named to the OJHL All Star Team. Ryan is currently playing with Laurier University for the 2025-2026 season.

Evan Le Conte

Coach

We are super excited to welcome Oakville Blades Captain Evan Le Conte to the HHD team! Evan brings a wealth of local experience to the program, having developed his skills with the Halton Hurricanes and Oakville Rangers before establishing himself in Junior hockey with the Blades. His leadership abilities are undeniable, demonstrated by his current role as Captain and his selection to the U18 All-Star game. As we bring on a new coach, we remain committed to our original mission while setting an even higher standard—welcome, Coach Evan!
